Estimated glomerular filtration rate based on creatinine and cystatin C (eGFRcr-cys) is an analysis that helps to assess the filtration function of the kidneys taking into account age and gender. The calculation formula is intended for adults over 18 years of age. The glomerular filtration rate shows how many milliliters of blood the kidneys filter per minute.
When and who needs the test?
Indications for use:
- diagnosis and monitoring of treatment of acute and chronic kidney diseases;
- adjustment of the dose of drugs that are excreted by the kidneys;
