Description
Sorrel is a weed herb from the buckwheat family. Blooms in July-August. The main symptoms of pollen allergy ("polynosis") are signs of allergic conjunctivitis and rhinitis. There is swelling and redness of the mucous membrane of the eyes and eyelids, tearing, profuse mucus from the nose, sneezing, itching in the nose. Also, sometimes there are skin rashes like urticaria.
With a high degree of inclination, it is possible to develop an attack of bronchial asthma with cough, shortness of breath, up to choking. The most difficult situations are Angioedema and anaphylactic shock. Possible cross-reactivity of sorrel and other different individual species of the genus oxalicum, as well as a certain degree of plants of the buckwheat family.
