Description
Among house dust allergens, the most important are micromites, which feed on human and animal epidermal particles and other household dust waste. Especially a lot of micromites in mattresses, pillows, carpets, furniture upholstery.
Allergic components of house dust are also insect allergens (cockroaches, etc.), mold particles and their spores, particles of animal epidermis. Determination of class E immunoglobulins specific to the tick makes it possible to detect the sensitization of the immune system to the antigens of this tick.
The test is used to diagnose dust allergies and some other allergic diseases (such as asthma). It is better to take it in combination with an assessment of the levels of antibodies to other ticks (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Lepidoglyphus destructor).
When and who needs the test?
Recommended when searching for the cause of an allergy with year-round symptoms; making a decision on the tactics of treatment and the advisability of conducting allergen-specific therapy (ASIT), as well as monitoring the effectiveness of treatment.
