Description
Alternaria alternata is one of the most widespread mould fungi, whose spores disperse readily through the air and are capable of triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions. The test determines the level of specific IgE to Alternaria and assists in identifying the cause of allergic symptoms.
When and who needs the test?

- In severe bronchial asthma, when skin testing is not possible.
- To identify a possible link between allergic disease and hypersensitivity to allergens of the mold Alternaria alternata, as well as for dynamic monitoring of antibody levels.
- To monitor the effectiveness of prophylaxis or treatment.
