9189. Soluble liver/pancreas antigen, IgG antibodies
Description
Soluble liver and pancreatic antigen is a specific marker of autoimmune hepatitis (AIG). This disease is manifested by weakness, heaviness in the right hypochondrium, jaundice, itchy skin, rash, enlarged liver and lymph nodes, fever.
The test is used for the differential diagnosis of hepatitis and AIG. The complex may include tests for total antibodies to liver and kidney microsomes (LKM), smooth muscle (SMA), cytosolic liver antigen type 1, antinuclear antibodies, analysis of liver enzymes (alkaline phosphatase, ALT, AST), bilirubin.

Increased transaminases in unexplained circumstances, if autoimmune hepatitis is suspected.
