9108. Allergen. Extract. Mango (f91), IgE antibodies
Description
Mango is a tropical fruit that can cause allergic reactions – not only food allergies, but also dermatitis. A skin reaction is caused by contact with the skin of the fruit.
Allergy to mango, as a rule, is accompanied by dysfunction of the digestive system (cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome), skin manifestations (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema) and, less often, dysfunction of the respiratory system (allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma). Quite often, people suffering from contact allergies can eat mango pulp without any problems. Cross-reactions have been observed between mango, mulberry pollen, birch pollen, celery and carrots.
The test should be taken in combination with antibodies to other pollen and food allergens, latex.
When and who needs the test?
Recommended when conducting a diagnostic search for the cause of allergies with year-round symptoms; making a decision on the tactics of treatment and the advisability of conducting allergen-specific therapy (ASIT).
