Description
Grapes are the strongest allergen, and many berries are not required for the development of an allergy. The composition of this fruit includes flavonoids, sugar, vitamins and organic acids.
There are many varieties and varieties of grapes, and there is a pattern: the darker the grape variety, the more likely it may be allergic. As a rule, it is accompanied by dysfunction of the digestive system (cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome), skin manifestations (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema) and, less commonly, respiratory system dysfunction (allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma).
The test is safe for the patient compared to skin tests (in vivo), as it eliminates contact with the allergen.
Quantitative determination of specific IgE antibodies allows to assess the relationship between the level of antibodies and the clinical manifestations of allergies.
When and who needs the test?

- to assess the risk of developing allergic reactions to grapes.
