9091. Allergen. Extract. Papaya (f293), IgE antibodies
Description
Papaya is a tropical fruit. It is sold fresh and can also be found in dried fruit mixtures. Contains a special enzyme called papain, which is a potential allergen. Papaya and other fruits contain a substance called chitinase, which is associated with cross-reactions between latex and fruit. At the same time, green fruits have the greatest potential for allergic reactions. Allergy to papaya is usually accompanied by dysfunction of the digestive system, skin manifestations and, less often, dysfunctions of the respiratory system.
