Description
Tomatoes are rich in carbohydrates, vitamin C, contain proteins, organic acids, fiber, pectin, minerals (calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, chlorine, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, iodine), as well as carotenoids, lycopene, B vitamins, vitamin K.
Their protein content is less than 1%, but they can cause allergic reactions in the form of urticaria, angioedema, oral allergic syndrome, asthma, rhinitis, allergic dermatitis, or in severe and rare cases of anaphylactic shock.
