Description
Almonds (even their crumbs) are among the top 8 food allergens that can cause kiss-induced allergies. A nut allergy occurs before the age of 5 and children rarely outgrow it.
Skin manifestations of almond allergy include atopic dermatitis, acne simplex, and contact dermatitis. Among people with sensitivity to birch pollen, almost 33% also have hypersensitivity to almonds and cherries. This condition is known as pollen-fruit syndrome and most commonly presents as oral allergy syndrome (itching or swelling in the mouth).
The test should be taken in combination with antibodies to other pollen and food allergens, latex.

Recommended for the diagnosis of allergic diseases - food allergies, atopic dermatitis, respiratory allergies; to determine sensitivity to almonds.
