Description
Pathomorphological examination using the immunohistochemical marker p57 is an additional method of morphological tissue assessment that allows determination of p57 protein expression in the cells of the examined material.
When and who needs the test?
- in the presence of pronounced morphological changes in chorionic tissues;
- in cases where standard histological examination is insufficient for a complete assessment of changes;
- to clarify features of the cellular composition of placental tissue;
- as an addition to pathomorphological examination in complex or ambiguous cases;
- when an extended morphological characterization of the tissue is required.
