Description
Pathomorphological examination during liver resection or hemihepatectomy is a histological analysis of the removed tissues that allows assessment of the nature and extent of pathological changes in the liver.
When and who needs the test?
- in the presence of pronounced changes in liver tissues that require morphological assessment;
- in cases of detection of structural changes or lesions in the liver;
- if it is necessary to assess the extent of the pathological process;
- in cases where the results of other examinations are insufficiently informative;
- to clarify the nature of pathological changes in liver tissues.
