Description
Salivary gland biopsy is a pathomorphological examination during which a tissue sample is taken for histological assessment of tumor-related changes.
When and who needs the test?
- in the presence of lesions in the area of the salivary glands;
- in cases of enlargement or induration of the salivary gland;
- in cases of suspected tumor process;
- for morphological assessment of the nature of the detected changes;
- to differentiate between benign and malignant processes.
