Description

Polyps are abnormal growths of mucous membranes in hollow organs. The most common polyps are those of the endometrium, oral cavity, nose, stomach, small intestine or colon. The main danger of polyps is malignant degeneration.

PMF is a research method that includes the preparation of histological tissue preparations with subsequent examination under a microscope and allows determining the cellular composition, identifying pathological changes, verifying the diagnosis, and determining the stage of the disease.

When and who needs the test?

Biological material is collected only by a doctor. The collected material is delivered to the laboratory.

The test is taken to obtain additional information to establish the characteristics of the course, severity of the lesion in order to determine the prognosis and treatment plan.
