*(formation / tumors of the bladder, ureters, prostate, thyroid gland, brain and spinal cord (except for mesenchymal tumors and lymphomas), adenomas of the pituitary gland, head and neck, larynx, trachea, esophagus, stomach,intestines, skin, ovary, endometrium, cervix, vulva and vagina, testis)

  • Brought-in biomaterial is submitted for analysis.
  • Ordering the analysis is only possible with a special referral from a physician.
  • Ordering PMF services. IHC (immunohistochemistry) is possible together with the pathomorphology service or as an add-on to a previously ordered pathomorphological service.
  • Paraffin blocks brought by the patient can be ordered as a standalone service.

Description

This is a research method that includes the production of histological tissue preparations followed by their examination under a microscope, which is aimed at determination of the cellular composition, identification of pathological changes, verification of the diagnosis and determination of  the disease stage.

When and who needs the test?

Biological material for examination is collected only by a doctor. Ready, collected material is delivered to the laboratory. The test is carried out to obtain additional information to establish the characteristics of the course, severity of the lesion to determine the prognosis and treatment plan.
