Description
Pathomorphological examination with an immunohistochemical step for determination of HER2 marker expression is a morphological assessment of tissue with analysis of the level of HER2 receptor expression in the cells of the examined material.
When and who needs the test?
- during pathomorphological examination when immunohistochemical assessment of HER2 marker expression is required;
- in cases of morphological changes that require clarification of the biological characteristics of the tissue;
- as an immunohistochemical step within the pathomorphological examination;
- for extended morphological characterization of the examined material;
- in complex or ambiguous pathomorphological cases.
