Description
Morphological confirmation (histoanalysis) is a mandatory step in the diagnosis of inflammatory dermatoses. A punch biopsy consists of excising a short column of tissue with a special tool.
Material sampling can be at the level of the epidermis, dermis or subcutaneous fat.
