8005. PMF. IHC (immunohistochemistry_marker Ki-67)
Important information
- Brought-in biomaterial is submitted for analysis.
- Ordering the analysis is only possible with a special referral from a physician.
- Ordering PMF services. IHC (immunohistochemistry) is possible together with the pathomorphology service or as an add-on to a previously ordered pathomorphological service.
- Paraffin blocks brought by the patient can be ordered as a standalone service.
Description
Pathomorphological examination using the immunohistochemical marker Ki-67 is a method of morphological assessment of tissues aimed at determining cellular proliferative activity and evaluating the intensity of cell division in the examined material.
When and who needs the test?
- when assessment of cellular proliferative activity is required within a pathomorphological examination;
- in cases of morphological changes that require clarification of the intensity of cell division;
- for quantitative or semi-quantitative assessment of Ki-67 marker expression in tissue;
- as an additional method of morphological assessment in the evaluation of epithelial and non-epithelial lesions;
- in complex pathomorphological cases requiring expanded morphological characterization.
Biological material
- Various types of biopsy material depending on the test
