Description

Package №187 'Urogenital Health (Prostate Secretion)' is a comprehensive laboratory investigation aimed at identifying the causes of inflammatory processes in the prostate gland and urogenital tract.

The panel enables identification of the etiological agent in prostatitis, urethritis, and chronic pelvic pain; supports differentiation between specific and opportunistic pathogens; and contributes to personalized treatment selection based on microbial susceptibility.

Automated identification of microorganisms is performed using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry on the MALDI Biotyper sirius IVD System analyzer (Bruker, Germany).

When and who needs the test?

  • For men with signs of genitourinary inflammation (pain, burning, abnormal discharge, discomfort in the perineal area).
  • In cases of recurrent or chronic prostatitis.
  • In cases of reduced fertility or during fatherhood planning.
  • After recent infections or an ineffective course of antibiotics.
  • For monitoring treatment effectiveness or excluding hidden urogenital infections.
