Description
A comprehensive test combining PCR diagnostics for four of the most common urogenital pathogens (Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma species, Gardnerella vaginalis) and bacteriological culture of urogenital material with antibiotic susceptibility testing (excluding Gardnerella spp.).
The package allows detection of both specific sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and opportunistic bacterial microflora. If bacterial microflora is detected, an antibiotic susceptibility test with MIC (minimal inhibitory concentration) is performed to assess antibiotic effectiveness and select targeted therapy.
When and who needs the test?
