Description
Determination of resistance genes to antibacterial drugs is necessary for the timely determination of sensitivity to antibiotics, which makes it possible to quickly determine and monitor the effectiveness of treatment. According to CDC recommendations, after confirmed infection, colonization screens are performed to detect latent carbapenem resistance.
When and who needs the test?
- To prevent transmission of carbapinem-resistant infection (CRE) in intensive care units;
