Description
The GP1BA gene codes receptors work on the platelet walls. Structural changes in the gene lead to disruption of platelet clumping processes.
The test is used before the appointment of hormonal therapy, oral contraceptives to assess the risk of thrombosis and thromboembolism, strokes, heart attacks. It should be taken in combination with other markers of disorders in the work of the blood coagulation system.
