Description
The Epstein-Barr virus is an infectious pathogen that is characterized by a high tropism for lymphoid tissue and is transmitted from person to person with blood, saliva, tears, urine, semen, nasal secretions, and other biological fluids.
Quantitative determination of the genetic material of the virus in a buccal scraping allows you to confirm the fact of infection with the virus at any stage of the disease.
The test is widely used to diagnose various forms of infection with the Epstein-Barr virus and to identify its carriage.
