Description
Allergy to local anesthetics is an immune reaction to medications used for pain control during dental, surgical, and diagnostic procedures. Detection of specific IgE antibodies to anesthetics (articaine, lidocaine, bupivacaine, mepivacaine, procaine) helps identify sensitization, assess the risk of immediate allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, and select a safe alternative drug.
