Description
Meadow bluegrass (Poa pratensis L., also known as meadow grass or June grass) is wind-pollinated and releases large quantities of allergenic pollen grains during its early summer flowering period. Meadow bluegrass pollen is one of the most common seasonal aeroallergens, causing allergic symptoms such as allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (ARC) and asthma. Quantitative determination of specific IgE antibodies to meadow bluegrass extract allows us to evaluate the relationship between antibody levels and clinical manifestations of allergy.
