Description
Most of the autoantibodies detected in scleroderma belong to the ANA family, which bind to ribonucleic acids and their associated proteins. In 90-95% of patients with scleroderma, high titers of ANA are detected in the screening test of 2496 Elia metome.
The test is performed on the Phadia analyzer; to identify the main types of antinuclear antibodies in scleroderma, including antibodies to PM – Scl, Scl-70, CENP, fibrillarin, RNA Pol III. The test is quantitative for each indicator.
When and who needs the test?
- recommended for suspected diffuse scleroderma and its varieties;
- for the differential diagnosis of systemic rheumatic diseases: CCD, CREST syndrome, Raynaud's syndrome, pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
