Description
ANA antibodies to RNA polymerase III (RNA Pol III) are recognized as a highly specific marker of systemic scleroderma (CCD).
When and who needs the test?
- recommended for the diagnosis of systemic connective tissue diseases (in particular, systemic scleroderma and its limited form – CREST syndrome);
- to monitor the course and evaluate the progression of scleroderma and CREST syndrome, as well as the effectiveness of their therapy.
