Description
Anti-nucleosome antibodies are a sensitive marker of systemic lupus erythematosus. They are determined exclusively in SLE, often complicated by kidney damage (lupus nephritis).
Ribosomal protein (Rib-P), IgG antibodies are detected in 10-20% of SLE patients in the active phase of the disease; they are rarely found in patients with other ADs.
When and who needs the test?

- for differential diagnosis of some autoimmune diseases;
- for monitoring the course and assessing the progression of rheumatic diseases.
