The ‘Chronic Viral Infections – IgG/IgM’ package is a comprehensive test required to detect acute and chronic viral infections.
The presented package includes the detection of: cytomegalovirus (IgG and IgM antibodies), type 1 herpes virus (IgG and IgM antibodies), type 2 herpes virus (IgG and IgM), type 3 herpes virus (Varicella Zoster virus, VZV, IgG and IgM antibodies), Epstein-Barr virus (IgM and IgG). These infections can proceed for a long time in the latent phase, that is, without causing complaints in the patient.
The package shows whether there is an infection in the acute stage (IgM), or the acute stage has passed, or chronicity or recurrence of the infection (IgG) has appeared.
Symptoms of the herpes virus type 1: damage to the oral cavity, the appearance of painful vesicles with a liquid content, keratitis, conjunctivitis, encephalitis.
