Package No. 5.3 ‘TORCH IgG with chlamydia, no rubella: HSV 1, 2, TOXO, CMV, CHL’ is a laboratory screening elaborated to diagnose certain infectious diseases. These include: cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2, toxoplasmosis (Toxoplasma gondii), chlamydia (Chlamydia trachomatis). The detection of IgG indicates a previous acute period, chronicity of the process or relapse.
The diseases caused by these infections are most often transmitted by contact, by household means (through common household items: towels, washcloths, soap), sexually and through kisses (by contact of mucous membranes).
