Package No. 5.2 ‘TORCH IgG without rubella: HSV 1 and 2, TOXO, CMV’ is a comprehensive test elaborated to identify opportunistic infections. The test includes the detection of cytomegalovirus (cytomegalovirus (CMV)), herpesvirus type 1 and 2, and toxoplasmosis (Toxoplasma gondii).
The symptoms of herpes include: the formation of small painful blisters with transparent contents on the skin and mucous membranes.
Signs of toxoplasmosis are: weakness, low-grade fever, drowsiness, the appearance of a papular rash on the body, an enlarged spleen and liver, eye symptoms (strabismus, blurred vision, clouding of the lens), as well as characteristic neuropsychiatric symptoms. In women, toxoplasmosis infection can cause frequent miscarriages.
