2133. Brucella abortus (agent of brucellosis), IgM antibodies
Description
Brucellosis is a sluggish infectious disease with a characteristic lesion of the nervous, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems. The disease is caused by the bacteria Brucella abortus, which enter the body through the mucous membranes of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract or through damaged skin.
Detection of IgM antibodies allows to confirm the diagnosis of acute or exacerbation of chronic brucellosis.
The analysis is used to diagnose brucellosis and conduct differential diagnostics of rheumatoid, neurological and infectious diseases.
