Description
Antibodies to liver and kidney microsomes LKM-1 are a specific marker of type 2 autoimmune hepatitis. This disease is more common in children and manifests itself as weakness, heaviness in the right hypochondrium, jaundice, itchy skin, rash, enlarged liver and lymph nodes.
The test is used to diagnose type 2 autoimmune hepatitis and to control the intake of certain drugs (thienam, halothane, etc.).
