1311. Allergen. Extract. Mouse epithelium (e71), IgE antibodies
Description
Rodent allergy sometimes occurs in laboratory personnel, in the home keeping of guinea pigs, mice and rats, or in high contamination of the premises with the urine of these animals. Allergenic proteins are found in the epithelium, serum, urine of rats and mice.
Symptoms of allergy to guinea pigs are the same as for sensitization to other animals: sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy and red eyes, coughing, asthma attacks, manifestations of allergic dermatitis (urticaria, itching and / or eczema), may appear after 3- 5 minutes after contact with the allergen, as a rule, increase over time and reach a maximum after 3-4 hours. IgE to the mouse epidermis should be taken in combination with the test of sensitization to other animals.

Recommended for detecting sensitization to mouse epithelium in children and adults; to control ongoing drug treatment and allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).
