- an important condition for laboratory tests is to take blood on an empty stomach.
- 6-12 hours before the test, you should avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, and limit physical activity. Drinking still water is allowed;
- do not take medications. If it is impossible to stop taking medications, you should inform the laboratory about this;
- it is advisable to give children under 5 years of age drinking still water before blood taking (in portions of up to 150-200 ml over 30 minutes);
- for infants, before blood taking, wait as long as possible between feedings.
