Description
Immunocytochemical examination using a single marker is a method of morphological assessment of cells performed on cytological material in the form of a cell block that allows determination of expression of the selected marker in cells.
When and who needs the test?
- when additional immunocytochemical assessment of cellular material is required;
- to clarify expression of an individual marker in cells;
- in cases of ambiguous or complex cytological findings;
- as a supplement to standard cytological examination;
- when an expanded morphological characterization of cells is required.
