Description
Package No. 135 — a set of tests elaborated for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of types of diabetes mellitus. It includes tests for glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and for IgG antibodies to glutamic acid decarboxylase (GADA). Glycated hemoglobin is the part of hemoglobin that is bound to glucose and reflects the average glucose level 2-3 months before the test.
Anti-GADA antibodies are autoantibodies to the membrane enzyme of pancreatic beta cells. This indicator helps to determine the predisposition to diabetes long before the onset of clinical manifestations.
This complex is indicated for people who do not have characteristic symptoms, but who have relatives with diabetes mellitus and always for people with such symptoms: frequent urination, thirst, weight loss, constant hunger, weakness, visual impairment, numbness of the extremities, slow wound healing, fast fatiguability.
